It's very easy to get into the mindset of "just one more bid" and if you're not careful you may actually end up paying more than you would at a site with fixed prices. Research what you're buying, set yourself a fixed price as to how much you're prepared to pay, and try not to impulse buy and you can pick up some bargains - my camera, bought last year ago on there, is still my beloved baby.

Also, watch postage prices. Although they're not meant to, some sellers will offer items incredibly low and try to recoup costs by charging high postage. Always check the full price of an item before bidding.
