I have only recently joined e-bay auctions (about a month ago), but already am pleased with the service and both the items I have purchased and the sellers I have purchased them from.
Navigating the site and bidding are both really easy to get the hang of, and there are handy helpful hints all over the site, as well as a 'help' section to help you with any queries. Items up for auction are organised into categories, making it easy to find the type of thing that you are looking for. Another handy point about e-bay is the e-mail service, which lets you know if an item you are watching is ending soon, or if you have been outbid or have won an auction. So far I have won about 8 auctions. Payment methods are determined by the seller, so vary, but I have paid all of my sellers by postal order so far, which seems to be a widely accepted method of payment, as do personal cheques. Some sellers take credit cards, but not all.
